Longtime fan making first post on LGK
Hello all. Longtime Kings fan here. I have been a member lurking on these boards and decided to jump in head first today. I hope to become a regular contributor to your site.
Grew up in the South Bay (Redondo to be precise) and all my family still lives in Manhattan and Redondo Beach. I started attending games at The Forum with my parents in the early to mid-eighties. Ah those were the days, I hope the new Kings alternate sweater is Forum Blue and Gold, those were the best!
Some of my favorite old Kings were Larry Playfair, Jimmy Fox, Jay Wells, Jimmy Carson, Bernie Nicholls, The Little Beaver, Stitch, Blakey, Luc, TGO, Sandstrom, Hruuuuuuuuuuudey and even Marty McStick.
As far as recent years always liked Ziggy Palffy, OD, Matty Norstrom, Lappy, Luc and Blake.
The new generation has me very excited. Obviously Kopi is a stud, the franchise centerpiece. But I am d-man kind of guy so I am big on JMFJ and Doughty and am curious to see how guys like Colten Teubert and Hickey turn out as well.
Love the looks of the forwards like Big Boyle, Purcell, Moller, Simmonds, etc, etc, etc.
I am grooming the next generation of Kings fan as we speak (see my avatar). My family and I watch all the games out here in Colorado on Center Ice but miss going to the games in person.
