Longtime fan in San Diego...just discovered this site during the playoffs

Hi everyone! My name is Kristin....I've been a Kings fan since I moved here from Colorado in 1987. 1993 was wonderful (so close)! I have lots of playoff memories! Heck, I even collected hockey cards that year with my boyfriend. I'm definitely not a bandwagon fan....but have strayed a bit the last few years. This season has brought me back. I was bummed when the Kings didn't win the division, but was happy enough with making the playoffs. I was hoping to get past the first round....my expectations have, obviously, been surpassed!

I've really enjoyed reading posts on this forum! After wins, I'm all over the internet....the opposite is true after losses....I avoid all media entirely.

5pm tomorrow seems really far away......this site makes the wait a little bit better!!

I'm also a tennis fan, football fan (Denver Broncos), baseball fan (sadly, the Padres), Tom Waits fan (hence the name), love hiking/backpacking, oh, and I SCUBA dive for a living.

Hi Kristin! Chandra here. I do the same thing, avoid the media after losses (after a while, it all sounds the same anyhow, blah blah blah shut-the-f-up). I love coming on here after wins, especially with rcc's WTS posts. Always good to know there's fellow female fans out there. I only know ONE in "real" life. Well, two, but the other is a Ducks fan so I don't count her ;)

Welcome to our slightly dysfunctional online family. We need all the energy we can get to help the Kings nail down that 4th win.

none of my friends are sports fans at all....my best friends are Broncos fans by default, but don't actually watch any games. Their kid is now a Broncos fan and a Kings fan...but she's a five year old who wouldn't know the difference between hockey and football anyway. I'll make sure that changes as she gets older.

I'm at their house for most games (I'm too superstitious to actually watch the games live) and have to rely on alerts on my iphone from ESPN. Every time I get an alert I ask Anna (the 5 year old) what happened (i.e.: Kings 1-0 or Devils 1-0).....she always picks the Kings! I wasn't there on Wednesday....and was on this site for the game....my stooooperstitious self thinks that is why they lost. I'm college educated, so I don't really believe that....but I'll be at their place tonight relying on the alerts from ESPN....victory is assured (I hope)!!

You're right, btw, Ducks fans don't count!!!
