New Kings fan, AHL convert
What's up LGK.
New to the site and a still fairly new Kings fans. Moved to LA last winter from Albany, NY where I was, and still am a huge Albany River Rats fan so I've always followed the AHL and never attached myself to an NHL team. I love hockey so with move out west I'm attaching myself to the Kings, because screw those stupid, spoiled, lazy, popped-collar "yeah-dude-bro" Orange County band-wagon Ducks fans!!
Seriously love the sport and was amazed at my first Kings game at just how loyal, dedicated and ravenous Kings fan are. Honestly didn't expect LA to be such a huge hockey town but was pleasantly surprised.
Being a Kings fan also gives me a favorite team in every city I've lived in as I am also a New York Giants, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics fans.
Looking forward to this season. Go Kings!! and Go Rats!!

River Rats huh? Does that mean you're also either a Devils or Canes fan? Doesn't bother me if you're either, in fact, I myself am a Devils fan as well as a Kings fan. Hmm, the River Rats had Joey Mormina who used to play for the Monarchs. Anyways, welcome here. Seems like you've already witnessed the common ignorance among many of the Ducks fans. It's pretty blatant isn't it?

I wouldn't really consider myself as a fan of an other particular NHL team, but I do root for former Rats that get called up. I took grief from my friend at the game against the 'Canes Friday night for applauding Ryan Bayda's goal... But hey, the man was a top gun for us in Albany. I do remember rooting for the Islanders for a while as a kid because they took us on a school field trip to one of their games. Probably my earliest hockey memory.
