New to posting here, but have been reading the hockey players forum for awhile. I played roller hockey in high school, and just recently got back into playing again and at the age of 27, I also finally have enough of my own money to pursue a lifelong dream of learning ice hockey. Raised in Colorado but have been in LA awhile, so I split my allegiances between the Avs and Kings...and lately it's been much easier to root for the Kings, esp when King is your last name.
Looking forward to getting embarrassed by some of you guys at future LGK pickup games, once I learn how to properly stop on ice. I'm sure your games could all use another offensive defenseman who can't handle the puck and is a skinny pylon in the defensive zone (but hey i make up for it with a hard, wildly inaccurate slapshot)

I learned to play at 28, you'll be fine. Welcome here and hope you find some good games. I'm sure the pick up crew will beat any remaining colorado loyalty out of you

It's not case sensitive, but it automatically corrects the case of the characters when it displays.
For example, I put the caps lock on you type this: jammer06 and when it posts, it's all in line with what displays in the user's name.

Can #mrking2u be hash-tagged as well?

You can pound someone all you want, but they will not be notified. What you can do is click on the pounded individual and see who else has pounded them, and when and where they did so.
