Oh, and about the Ethier thing: he's been having recurring foot problems so I don't see anything wrong with giving him a day off.

First starter to go at least 5 innings this year, which is pretty sad. Though it took him over 100 pitches to get through 5 1/3, which is not good. He needs to improve his pitch counts if he's ever going to be a reliable starter. He didn't make it past the 6th inning in a single start during the 2nd half of last season, which is pretty amazing in a bad way. The guy can be so good, and if he can cut down on those 25 pitch innings he seems prone to once or twice per start, he can be a legit top of the rotation starter.
