His idiocy didn't show up tonight, but it showed up in the previous two days. He used him in a 10-2 game and a 7-3 game and couldn't use him tonight in a 6-4 game. Sure, I blame Russ Ortiz for not being able to finish last night, buty Broxton should not have pitched two blowout games in a row.

Hindsight is 20/20. Broxton didn't get any work in the first two games, so I understand why Torre would give him an inning of work in the third game regardless of the score.

I don't fault Torre for thinking his other top of the bullpen relievers, especially one in Sherrill who has experience closing, could get the job done. It just didn't work out.

IMO, I hate the fact that God Bless America has replaced , for the most part, Take me out to the Ballgame. It's sooooo East Coast.
