Broxton comes through again. If he can do that a few times with a one run lead I might start to like him.
Haha, man some of you guys are hard on Broxton. I mean that Matt Stairs bomb is still fresh in my mind too but every closer has that stain on their record (Brad Lidge for example)
Is he Gagne or Saito? Not yet obviously, but there are a ton of teams who would trade their closer straight up for Broxton.
I'm pretty confident in our bullpen, however I do think we'll need another arm at some point. I just don't think Kuo will be healthy the entire year and we could probably stand to reduce his workload a bit. Wade has looked fine so far but I think it will be extremely unlikely that he repeats last season's success. I think he'll still be solid but at times last year he was unhittable. Mota I'm not really confident in and Troncoso/Bellisario have upside but aren't lights out yet. So I think we'll have to make a trade for some bullpen help, ideally Lindblom is impressive in AA and he can come up sometime during the summer and give us a boost. I think that is the best and most likely scenario.
Good win last night.
Rubber game at 12:35pm today. Watch/listen from work!
As soon as I read this sentence the first person I thought of was Lindblom, but you were obviously way ahead of me.
It's looking like a good thing they signed Ohman at this point.Quote:
