Just saw that during the Brewers/Stros game on ESPN2. Couldn't hurt at this point, better than Stults, Sturtze, or Johnson in the rotation. No word who they gave up, hope it wasn't much.
Maddux is basically an average pitcher nowadays ERA+ is 98, and he is pretty much a 6 inning pitcher but he is one of the few guys whose "veteran presence" actually means something.
