    Well when you play your catcher so much during the season(last year included) he's going to wear down during the stretch run. That's just a fact with all catchers.

    Ethier did a nice Matt Kemp impression by swinging at ball 4. Kent is still worthless since cracking back on Vin. Ramirez is good. Loney, well, he didn't ground into a DP. I'm glad I spared the 30 mins of my day to watch 2 innings worth of baseball.

    What the fk doesn't make sense about it? He's batting .250 in Aug. And he was crappy at the end of last year.

    But just because he's an all star he's not supposed to wear down after excessive use during the season?

    News flash man, catchers wear down as the season goes on. Especially ones that carry the workload of Russel Martin.

    Almost always what Torre says and what he does are two completely different things. Like Pierre being the everyday centerfielder about 3 days before sitting on the bench almost every day for a the past few weeks.
