Looks like Sherrill will close today. Wouldn't mind seeing him used in more save situations, given how much Broxton sucks in the 2nd half of the season.

I don't know if the Dodgers are out of their slump or if the Cubs are just really bad. Offense still sucks but if they get the W I can't really complain.

Scoring 4 runs in 2 games usually won't get it done. Our bats need to wake the **** up.

Soriano up with a runner on. Sure would have been nice if Furcal showed a little patience with a runner at third in the bottom of the 8th.

This just isn't true, in 2009 or career-wise.

He had an ERA of over 5 in July and has blown 2 saves this month. He's definitely slipped.
