Another nice win and another nice outing by Haeger, 7 innings and 0 runs always works well!
Interesting use of Broxton in the 8th against Chi's heart of the order. The fly ball that Kemp lost in the sun was exciting, glad it did not boink him in the head.

Most of his poor July was pre-All Star break.

I wish more managers would do this. Use your best reliever in the situation you need him most.

Bills today and Padilla is already scheduled for Thurs. Are we really throwing Weaver and Padilla against Colorado?
Then what happens to Haeger? Dude has earned a spot in the rotation until Kuroda gets back. At this point I'll take him as the no. 5 starter over Vicente ****ing Padilla or Weaver.

I believe Torre did the same thing earlier this year, letting Brox pitch the 8th against the heart of the opposing lineup. It's a good strategy from a guy who hasn't exactly done a superb job of managing the bullpen.

God I don't want to see Vicente Padilla pitching at Coors. We'll have to score 18 runs to stay competitive.

I hope the SF-COL game goes 17 innings.

Giants blew it, now Colorado has a ton of momentum coming off a dramatic comeback.

Giants are a worthless team. I see the Dodgers taking 2 out of 3 from the Rockies this week with Kersh and Wolf winning their games. Looking forward to seeing how Padilla pitches in his first game as a Dodger. This next month and a half for him will either make or break the rest of his baseball career since apparently nobody wanted him for the 100K until Hiroki went down.

Pitching should be fine this series but that hasn't been an issue. Offense needs to take advantage of mediocre pitching.
