Can the Rockies just get rid of the Giants for good? I really don't mind if the Rockies stay close in the division race. Don't give the Giants any more hope.

Nothing like a 4-game losing streak by the Rockies to give us some breathing room heading into September though.

We're also 1.5 up on STL for HFA for the entire NL playoffs.

Matt Kemp has been ****ing crushing the ball lately.

What good does that do us?? we need power off the bench. And Furcal to get on base. And Martin to stop overswinging at everything. But not another 2nd baseman.

san fran is up 9-5 in the top of the 9th, but the rockies have 2 on with no outs.

Unless Belliard can take the hill and go 7 regularly (hidden talent, maybe?) I don't see the need.

And if Ned doesn't plant an extension on the O-Dog, then he's an idiot.

Belliard is here just to be another bat of the bench for the playoffs. Loretta is really the only RH bat we have right now, so Belliard gives Torre another option. Keeps Torre from ever having to use Castro or Ausmus as a pinch hitter.
