Right, and if I read that correctly Belliard is in the last year of his deal so FBJ's thought of him being a replacement for Hudson in the off-season isn't warranted.

At this point not really. There were some other random guys being tossed around, like Johnny Gomes for example.

Belliard isn't a bad option, I mean how many great pinch hitters are there anyways?

Belliard had a fine season with the bat last year. This year mediocre but at least he has shown the propensity to be pretty good in the past.

It wasn't just that (though I wasn't sure of Belliard's contract status). I think that, with the way Hudson has played, he deserves an extension. I'd like to see the guy in Dodger Blue for quite a while, actually. He's a class act.

He's also 32 this offseason, so it depends how many years he wants. Also...
