Good. We don't need Ned giving up 3 prospects for a starter. Pitching on this team isn't a problem.
Dodgers gave up because Indians & Pirates wanted the same prospects. The Dodgers need someone to replace Furcal.
I hope those rumors aren't true. If the Pirates want the same prospects for Jack effing Wilson that the Indians wanted for CC they are living in a dream land.Quote:

Odd trade for the Brewers. Yes, they now have the lethal UFA-to-be 1 2 punch of Sheets Sabathia, but with this bullpen and offense do they really feel they were this one piece away from being legitimate contenders?

How is it odd? They have the 2nd best record in the NL, a ton of prospects, and a playoff drought. They were already contenders in the NL before the trade. Melvin knew they weren't going to go very far with a 1-2 of Sheets and Parra (who's WHIP will catch up to him eventually).Quote:
