Good. We don't need Ned giving up 3 prospects for a starter. Pitching on this team isn't a problem.

Dodgers gave up because Indians & Pirates wanted the same prospects. The Dodgers need someone to replace Furcal.

I hope those rumors aren't true. If the Pirates want the same prospects for Jack effing Wilson that the Indians wanted for CC they are living in a dream land.

And Ned will probably make their dreams come true.

Actually I heard it from the Dodgers announcers during the game the other day.

If Ned is stupid enough to have to weigh making a deal for CC Sabathia or Jack Wilson he should be fired immediantly.

I wouldn't trade any of our top prospects for Jack Wilson, not even Hu who looked so crappy at the MLB level. Jack Wilson is simply not a difference maker.

Odd trade for the Brewers. Yes, they now have the lethal UFA-to-be 1 2 punch of Sheets Sabathia, but with this bullpen and offense do they really feel they were this one piece away from being legitimate contenders?

It would be a pretty terrible move.

Take this for what it's worth... A. Martinez mentioned today that the Dodgers really aren't looking at trading prospects for either of those guys. Colletti is apparently just trying to make it seem like the Dodgers are actively shopping. If he is trying to keep the Dodger fans happy by flaming rumors of a Jack Wilson trade he is doing a ****ty job of it.

How is it odd? They have the 2nd best record in the NL, a ton of prospects, and a playoff drought. They were already contenders in the NL before the trade. Melvin knew they weren't going to go very far with a 1-2 of Sheets and Parra (who's WHIP will catch up to him eventually).
