Apparently the Dodgers can only win on my birthday.

2 years in a row! Woo!

So... Can someone explain to me why we have Garrett Anderson? You can put Kershaw in his spot at bat and get similar results.

Sherril can't even come into an 8-1 game and get three outs.

Nope, but I do have the feeling that Anderson is laughing his be-hind off at the fact that he got a MLB roster spot.

Broxton could not come into the game (or any of the 3 in SF) at all. He probably needs rest for a week-10 days.

48 pitches and 4 runs allowed in the 9th inning last Sunday... holy geez... Yes, I'm still pissed.

BUT, I do have to be fair. It was blatantly obvious to every person in Dodger Stadium and everyone watching on national TV not named Joe Torre that the NYY were nailing anything Broxton threw for a strike. Torre should have pulled Broxton after he gave up the second run, Broxton was clearly over matched.

Hoya, your comments? Please please please do not post that it was "ehhh, just one of those games, it happens, no big deal" type of reply.

Also, saying something like "Look at his numbers, he is still a-b-and-c with x-y-and-z" simply will not cut it any longer. It is obvious that when push comes to shove against elite teams at money-time, Broxton gets shoved.

How about you look even more at Joe Torre for having Broxton throw as many pitches in the last week as the starting pitchers(!)? That's ****ing ridiculous.

By comparison, the Dodger starting rotation since then has these counts: Kershaw 101 (tonight 6/27), Kuroda 110 (6/26), Padilla 111 (6/25), Haeger 102 (6/24), Ely 97 (6/23). Because apparently, Broxton is a starting pitcher now.
He also warmed up in the one game he didn't enter in that 5 game stretch. Sunday's disaster was at the end of that stretch.

But then the people come out and say none of this matters, because Broxton can’t perform on the national stage when it counts. Even though he had performed on the national stage in an identical situation one night before.

The people come out and say none of this matters, because Broxton can’t perform in the postseason. Even though he has in all but two games. Even though six of the other seven 2009 playoff teams saw their closer give up a lead in last year’s postseason. Yep – every closer but Mariano Rivera blew a postseason game last year. (Rivera got his out of the way in earlier years.)
I love the fact that you show up (on the rare occasion) that something goes wrong for Broxton.
