Here's some more stuff from Keith Law's chat.

Kyle (Seattle): How good is Kuroda? #3 #4 or worse? Where will he end up and for how much?

SportsNation Keith Law: More of a 4/5 based on what I've seen, and he did end the year with elbow trouble, so caveat emptor. No idea where he ends up - that process seems to have just started.
Kinda conflicts with what Crasnick reported, where one guy said he was a little less than Dice-K quality. Anyways, a 4/5 type pitcher might be what we need. And in Dodger stadium his numbers will probably be better.

Jeremy (Los Angeles): A source with knowledge of the Twins' position told the Los Angeles Daily News that the club is asking the Dodgers for a package of three or four players from a pool of six: Chad Billingsley, Clayton Kershaw, Matt Kemp, Andy LaRoche, Jonathan Broxton and Andre Ethier in Johan Santana discussions. Source: New York Post

SportsNation Keith Law: Ned should probably tell them to go pound sand. I'd give up Ethier and probably Broxton (just because relievers are so unpredictable), but even the worst package of those six - Ethier-Broxton-LaRoche - is too much for one year of Santana plus the window.
Going along with what Frolov picked up on re: Berdard

Jon (Draper, UT): Keith, why don't the Angels go after Bedard instead of Santana and then try to pry away Garrett Atkins from the Rockies?

SportsNation Keith Law: I was going to say, "They value defense too highly to get Atkins," but then again, they're after Jabba the Hutt right now to play 3b, so what do I know. I do like your idea, though. If I was a GM looking to acquire a big starter, Bedard would be my #1 target - he's better than Haren/Blanton, and has the extra year left vs Santana.
Brian (MN): Is it me, or did I miss something? Bedard is always hurt, Santana has never been hurt?

SportsNation Keith Law: Santana's had at least one elbow operation (bone chips). Bedard had TJ surgery, and an oblique strain; he had a full season in 2006 and no arm trouble in 2007. I guess I don't see how he's "always" hurt.
Jeff (NYC): Rowand or Andruw? Who's the better buy?

SportsNation Keith Law: Andruw. Not even close - better hitter, much better fielder - and the perceptions of the two players are reversed right now.

Oh please, oh please, oh please! And the Rangers are one of the few teams possibly stupid enough to do it!

Especially if they are even considering Jim Edmonds at this point. Wow.

Yea who knows what's going on there. I'd imagine that Rocco isn't on the trading block anymore since Young is gone, so there goes another option. Maybe we can deal Pierre, let's keep our fingers crossed.

If Pierre gets traded I'll bounce off the walls. Please unload him.

If Ned is lucky enough to dump Pierre then he better not sign Rowand cause it will be the same **** all over again!

Nice find Varg. Not to mention the top rated left handed pitcher. Also, I see that Evan Longoria is the #2 rated player. That's big because he also played on Team USA with Laroche where they split playing time at 3rd base. Laroche actually had better offensive numbers than Longoria.
