Ken Rosenthal seems to think Torre would be a good fit. At 7 mil a year though? For a manager? Meh. I'll take Torre or Girardi over Little and it isn't my money so I guess I don't care. Unless of course the Dodgers sign a coach and "trumpet him as their big off-season acquisition."
This is from Keith Law's chat
Ben (Washington, DC): Hi Keith. The Dodgers don't seem confortable with putting LaRoche in at 3B next year despite his great numbers in the minors. Why? Is it just injury worries? He hasn't had anough MLB ABs for them to decide he's a bust, right?
SportsNation Keith Law: They seem to be leaning towards the latter, that he's a bust. He's also a big secondary-skills guy (walks, doubles, homers) and a lot of people in baseball still zero in on batting average.
I would have to think if they brought Joe in all that clubhouse garbage would cease ...
I would hardly call McCourt cheap with a payroll over $100 million.
I just heard from a secret source in an undisclosed location that Grady Little is the Dodgers manager!
