I'd put Juan Pierre behind the burger grill in the Loge section but that's another story.

I don't think that the Marlins would accept that return. Kemp would most certainly have to be included in that deal. More like Kemp, Laroche, and another high level prospect.

And they would probably ask for Kershaw.

Florida is gonna want quite a bit more for Cabrera than Ethier and LaRoche. Kemp and LaRoche, plus a decent prospect (McDonald) might get their interest.

I wouldn't let Kemp go, or Kershaw. Hopefully Florida's trend of shedding potential big paydays for players makes them more desperate.

Maybe even just sign Mike Lowell and Hunter, use Ethier, Abreu, or LaRoche for more bullpen help...

I saw it on ESPN Sportscenter. I don't know either, but I think Girardi wants to manage again. I won't be sad to see Little leave, tell you that right now.

Ken Rosenthal seems to think Torre would be a good fit. At 7 mil a year though? For a manager? Meh. I'll take Torre or Girardi over Little and it isn't my money so I guess I don't care. Unless of course the Dodgers sign a coach and "trumpet him as their big off-season acquisition."

This is from Keith Law's chat

Ben (Washington, DC): Hi Keith. The Dodgers don't seem confortable with putting LaRoche in at 3B next year despite his great numbers in the minors. Why? Is it just injury worries? He hasn't had anough MLB ABs for them to decide he's a bust, right?

SportsNation Keith Law: They seem to be leaning towards the latter, that he's a bust. He's also a big secondary-skills guy (walks, doubles, homers) and a lot of people in baseball still zero in on batting average.

Oh I would be so ALL OVER THIS!!! Torre is fellow Italian and I would love this. But I can't see McCheap doing it. For one he would hate to have a manager making that much $$$, being a Boston guy he would hate to admit he needed a Yankee to do his business and lastly he would never stand for a manager who was thought more of then himself. I just don't see this happening. I see Grady finishing out his contract and the Dodgers being mediocre again AND doing something stupid like trading Kemp. Yeah, I am a bit pessimistic and bitter.

I would have to think if they brought Joe in all that clubhouse garbage would cease ...

I would hardly call McCourt cheap with a payroll over $100 million.

I just heard from a secret source in an undisclosed location that Grady Little is the Dodgers manager!
