Totally agree. I think he got that nickname at the very beginning where he only had a payroll of $90M or so, if I remember correctly.
I think Ned is doing it right though. He could have sold the entire farm to get some big names but has chosen not to. Let the young guys mature and then surround them with producing free agents. With the exception of the Pierre signing, I'm pretty happy with Ned's game-plan.
