Dodgers had a great run! No one ever expected them to compete with the lineup early in the year! The Phillies are a better team, just look at the lineup. The Dodgers "have or had Manny and that kept them going until running up against the Phils.

When no one can name the starting infield like Cey, Russell, Lopes and Garvey then you know you are in trouble. They over achieved this year, so fans should be happy with that!

The Dodgers most certainly overachieved to be here now.

A nice thing about this season is it gave some of the young guys a taste of the postseason. Hopefully, guys like Kemp, Billingsley, etc. realize that they still have some growing up to do if they ever want to be serious contenders. It took a heavenly performance by a devilish player to get them this far.

If you can get Manny to play for an incentive-laden deal, maybe I'm on board. Otherwise, I'm not sure that a few weeks of inspired play erases the fact that he's a headcase you're about to marry yourself to for 2-3 years. Folks see a savior, and I see a ticking time bomb.

How many questionable veterans does it take before we start seeing the risks along with the benefits? Or, how much are we paying Schmidt and Jones again?

Furcal is playing shortstop like I play shortstop...****ty.

This team was often frustrating to watch all season long. I gave up on them making the post-season at the end of August.

The fact that the D-Backs crumbled, the Dodgers hung on and then went on to spank my Cubs all were surprising to me. I'm sure they've exceeded a lot of people's expectations.

Over the past couple months there have been flashes of hope and promise along with some dark clouds of despair. Hopefully over the winter they can accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative and come April 5th, hope will spring eternal and the Dodgers will be tied for first!

Yeah, but Dean ain't pullin' a Ned with our prospects any time soon. So even if we're near the hump, we won't be going over it.

Yeah, I meant without trading some kids for a guy who will only be on the team for 3 months

Ethier and Martin are a combined 2-16 hitting clean up this series. If you were the manager of the team don't you think you might try to something different when you're down 3 games to one? Like maybe try batting Loney, the only guy on the team not named Manny who is getting hits in that spot. Torre sucks.
