Depending on where you are sitting, you might want to pay attention to the ball and bat. The ball will go into the stands very often, and at high speeds.

I would advise going to a Dodger game so you can compare what the difference between the two are. However I would recommend waiting until at least next year. Right now baseball in Los Angeles is pretty pathetic as neither team really has a roster that makes you get excited and want to get up and go out and see the team play.
2 years ago when the Angels had Teixeira, the Dodgers had Manroids (who had not been caught yet) they were playing exciting baseball! You would see runs being scored, you would see hits into the gap, balls flying over the walls and pitchers making hitters look foolish. It was a ton of fun and the atmosphere was great!
Nowadays though with the Dodgers the atmosphere is of fear as everyone is now uncomfortable with the massive amounts of security there. The players? We have Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier and that's about it. If either of them is out of the lineup for the day then you cross your fingers that the Dodgers can scratch and claw their way to 1 run because it sure seems like they are getting shut out a lot...
As for the Halos, I haven't been to a game in 2 years but having paid attention to their roster the past few seasons you can clearly see that they don't have those players that can elevate them to that next level. If they had a healthy Kendrys Morales this season things would be a LOT different! However with them having to play Trumbo at first base, their offense has taken a massive hit.
So yes, I definitely say DO NOT GIVE UP ON BASEBALL!!! It is a fun game, it just isn't so great when you know that your team is absolutely pathetic...
A trip to Petco Park can be a fun experience as well.
I don't get the appeal of baseball, never will...
watch an inning standing behind home plate, close to field level. get as much of an umpire's view as possible. gives you an idea of what pitchers are throwing up there.
