I'll tell you what OP, I'll give you the class, professionalism, hard work, and grit of Juan Pierre and you give us a guy who won't nut up and sucks dog balls in the playoffs, Vlad Guerrero.
Deal?
I don't think either of these guys can captain a powerplay unit or hold the blueline or defend the crease with any real ability so... neither.
David Eckstein, career in the playoffs, .278/.333/.335
He had three good games during the entire playoffs. He was dog **** awful like usual in the NLDS, NLCS, and the first two games of the World Series.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
Yes, and as soon as I asked you "Why can Vlad hit in the regular season with that lineup and not hit in the playoffs?" you seemed to disappear.Originally Posted by OrangePuck

Holy logic, batman!
David Eckstein is so good at baseball that the Cardinals replaced him with Cesar Izturis. LOL.
Simple. In 2004 the Angels kicked Guillen off of the team. He provided the lineup protection that helped Vlad win the MVP that season.
I don't remember 2005 all to well to be honest. I had a lot going on that time of year and the MLB playoffs were a bit of a fog to me.
2007... did you see who was batting behind Vlad? Vlad's injury problems aside he had one-eyed Garret Anderson batting behind him. My freaking God. The Angels were so banged up that they didn't field their real team against Boston. Matthews Jr. didn't even play. Garret had pink eye in his right eye which is the worst for a left handed hitter.
I also have to give credit to Boston's pitching especially Beckett. He proved that regardless of who he was facing he would shutdown any lineup.

So basically, the 2005 playoffs never happened. Got it.Originally Posted by OrangePuck

Gary. Matthews. Junior.
Hey look, logic! Why doesn't this apply to other players also?Originally Posted by OrangePuck
