Jake Peavy Unanimously Voted NL Cy Young Winner

He is only the 4th NL pitcher in the last 40 years to win pitching's triple crown leading the league in Wins (19), ERA (2.54), and strikeouts (240). He recieved all 32 votes cast.

I'd trade it all for a complete game shutout in game 163, and i'm fairly sure he would too. Although he gets a nice $3 mil bonus in the last year of his contract for this... Anyway, mad props to Jake. He was just nasty this year.

At the end of the day, both our players were playing golf during the playoffs.

But we ended up with a better draft pick!

Painfully true. Like i said, i would trade it for a win in game 163 (and i'm fairly sure Jake would too). Plus, we suck ass at drafting (re: Matt Bush over Justin Verlander with the #1 pick in '04), so i'm not too worried about that.

And really, let's not make this another Padres vs. Dodgers fiasco. We've got like three other threads for that. If you can't think of something nice to say...
