Well, here's the thing. Torre won his championships with a lot of young talent like Jeter, Pettite, Williams, Rivera, eventually Posada along with veterans like Cone and Girardi. It was when the Yankees started going crazy with the big name players that they didn't win (a lot of it due to clubhouse egos and the other pressure from the boss).
With the current Dodgers situation there are young stars that are ready to take the team to a new level along with having a mix of veterans that can help (I'm not including Gonzo and Kent in this group).
Beimel and Proctor will eat a lot of innings for him.

No, I think you misunderstood me, I'm not opposed to Torre coming here. At the time I wrote my comment all of this was still just a rumor and that was what I was criticizing.

It'll happen. But then who really knows if it'll do any good. Even Torre doesn't have the power to prevent superstar injuries (ie. Schmidt). OR does he?......Nyah-ah-ah....
