The one thing Colletti has done a good job of(with the exception of the Juan Pierre contract) is that he's kept the contracts he's doled out short term. Thus even though many if not all his free agent signings have been busts we're not stuck with albatross contracts like the Kevin Brown deal. It's sad to think that detail is one of the good things Colletti has done because it's relatively minor but at least we didn't give Schmidt a 5 year deal.
