I went to the game last night... Everyone got there super early and all the Academy Rd parking was taken so I had to pay for parking for the first time in 2 years.
The crowd, as expected, gave Manny a standing ovation at his first at bat. Deserved? No, I don't think so, but I'm glad to have him back so I clapped but remained seated. Take that, Manny!
But what was really surprising was the loud ovation Pierre got when he came in to pinch hit. I took it as 50% "Thanks for bridging the gap while Manny was gone" and 50% "You should be the guy starting in LF." I got a general uneasy feeling the whole night in the crowd regarding welcoming Manny back, actually... interesting.
I wish Pierre had come through with a hit or something, but weak ass at bats were kind of the story of the night...
As far as who the Kings' Manny is?
Evgeni being Evgeni?
Last night's game was a nightmare!!! let's get em back tonight!
Billingsley gets two quick outs and then it went WAY downhill in a hurry. 3-0 Astros all in the top of the 1st so far.
EDT: Make that 4-0.
"In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully being clairvoyant in 1988.
The Los Angeles Kings - 2012 Stanley Cup Champions
-Roy Oswalt is pitching
-Houston was the first team the Dodgers lost a series to this season
-Dodgers were shut out last night
-It's 4-0, 2 on, and still in the first
Yeah...I think game is over.

Ned needs to go out and get a real #1 starter for this team.
Billingsley has been very disappointing lately. Down 4-0 against Oswalt, I'd have to say this game is done.
