The bullpen was already first in the NL before the trade, so it's pretty insane now after the Sherrill trade.

Jon Heyman says it was Heath Bell and Adrian Gonzalez for Loney, Martin, DeWitt, McDonald and DeJesus. **** that.
Ooooooooooooooh...yeah....not so much.
Exactly.
When I was thinking of what it'd take to put Gonzalez & Bell in Blue, I thought it would take something along those lines. Something only an idiot would do. Partly because of Gonzalez' status (signed for 2 additional years + a club option) & because we're a division rival.
Loney was a given. I also felt they'd want DeWitt. But DeJesus, McDonald & Russell Martin (even though 09 Martin sucks)??? **** that. With a baseball bat. Those aren't scrubs. Those are two members of the Dodgers core, a good young arm & the club's two closest infield prospects.

I would have done Loney + Dewitt + mid tier prospect for Gonzalez. We really don't need Bell, bullpen is stacked.
Did Diaz really just act like he was going to chuck his bat at Schmidt? Sit the **** down, stupid ass. Don't get all sour just because you flailed at three 80 mph fastballs.
Sherrill looked pretty nasty against those lefties
I'd say Sherrill had an ok debut.
Schmidt? Six shutout innings?
Really???
Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Bullets are cheap. Life is priceless.
