Well, we haven't scored but at least we're still in this, 1-0. Another nice outing for Billingsley so far.

Dodgers are going to get shut out in back-to-back games by a team with the 2nd worst ERA in the NL. Glad I didn't watch a minute of this game.

    Wow. Just wow.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/recap;_y...?gid=270808117

The Dodgers' offensive slump is reaching near-epic proportions. They hadn't been shut out three games in a row since 1966. That year, they got blanked three in a row from April 23-25, then again in the last three games of their World Series while they were getting swept by Baltimore.

With every errant swing, they looked like their '66 selves.

Los Angeles has lost a season-high six in a row and been shut out in four of the last five games. The Dodgers have dropped 15 of 20 overall, plummeting from first place to fourth in the NL West for the first time since April 5.

This is going to be an ugly road trip.
Usually I enjoy being right, but this time it just sucks. Ugh.

Times like these that it sucks to be a Dodger fan. Watching the Angels face the Bo Sox, it's not hard to see why the Angles are effective. If not for my growing up in a Dodger household, I'd for sure be an Angles fan. That team just knows how to win. Their managed by a Dodger great and a guy who really MANAGES the game. I love the way he makes adjustments in the course of battle. You can tell the players really enjoy playing for Scioscia.

One example, Angles need a run. Runner on first. Reggie Willits, one of the most valuable players on the club, layed down a sacrifice bunt, did the job. Scioscia was the first one in the dugout thanking him for the job.

I wish Grady would nut up and do the same with Kemp already.

Both Grady and Colletti are "hoping" and "hoping" this **** gets turned around. I'm sick of hoping. **** this passive aggressive bull****, it's time to sack it up or ****ing go home already.

You can't say Colletti hasn't done everything in his power short of selling the farm to win now. Last offseason he spent the 2nd most money of any GM in hopes of improving today. Unfortunately Schmidt got hurt and Juan Pierre has been less than stellar. Luis Gonzalez has worked out better than anyone could have hoped and in fact our offense has improved over last year's squad. Our pitching has had a number of injuries ranging from key to nagging yet as recently as 2 weeks ago we were sitting in first place in our division.

Realistically we ARE a 4th place team in the West and not just because of the standings but because we are banged up and our pitching has been very inconsistent. There wasn't a reasonable move that Colletti could have made at this trade deadline that would have kept us from coming back down to Earth. This team is NOT as good as the Angels and Grady is not as talented as Mike Scossica to expect the Dodgers and Little to be their equal is futile.

    This is not our year.

Maybe the ball will carry better in the daytime and we score a run today.

Setting the bar low, yes, but what the **** else are we supposed to do?
