You're probably right, but I never got why everyone goes cold at the same time. We do have Kemp often in the 7 or 8 hole, so while we don't have a fearsome lineup it isn't bad, either. I mean it shouldn't be, not 2003 bad at least.

That's selective memory. Not everyone is cold. It only seems that way because we overall haven't been very good.

For example, in the last 7 days (5 games) where we are averaging 3 runs/game:

Furcal .929 OPS *HOT*
Pierre .311 OPS
Martin .896 OPS *above average*
Kent 1.692 OPS *HOT*
Gonzalez .258 OPS
Garciaparra .856 OPS *above average*
Loney .588 OPS
Kemp .071 OPS
Ethier .764 OPS

Hot and cold streaks are, of course, perfectly natural.
