    I would agree but then his speed is even more useless because if he's on base the pitcher's spot is up.

    Abreu? No thanks. I wasn't really impressed by that guy. Kent has slowed down but he's stil by far our best option at 2B.

    Maybe it will help him draw more walks..? I know, it's a stretch but it could help his OBP. Then have him steal and bunt him over. Ok, now it's crazy talk.

    I'm certainly not sold on Abreu either. I'm one of the ones hoping Kent comes back for 1 more seeing how he's played thus far. I'd hate to look forward to next season with Abreu being thrust into the starting 2B position seeing how our 2nd best option is....*gulp*...REM.

    Still, having a young, bonafide everyday starter or quality propsect at each position is pretty nice. That's what I was going for.

    Those "gimme" walks in the 8-spot come usually in 2 out situations anyway--just look at Betemit's OBP with men on and 2 out this year versus other situations.
