The more interesting stat for me is 10ER for Jamie Moyer. When the hell were they planning on pulling him. I'd be pissed if you kept me in that long.

Haha, finally, Manuel yanks him.
best part for me is the 10 runs on 9 hits. how many times have the dodgers had something like 15 hits with like 3 runs or so. this is what i like to see!!!
Want to know what one of the things I like most about Russell Martin is?
That in a game where he's up by 9 runs, in an inning with nobody on and one out, he still goes to his knees to block a ball in the dirt like he's got a man on third in a tie ballgame.
Integrity. Work ethic. Russell Martin.

I had to laugh...
You know those moments during the middle of the game where they come back from commercial and Scully has some witty or not-so-witty antectode to pass along to us before he says ... "let's get back to this one"?
Normally they tape those things, and it's always been humorous to me that they must think the majority of people watching the broadcast are too stupid to notice that while Vin is waxing poetic, the sun is still out and often times the starting pitcher is practicing - waiting for the game to start. All this supposedly taking place between the 4th or 5th inning. Yeah... right.
Well tonight after all this time, they finally did one live. And everything worked out fine. A few seconds of dead air afterward, and all was well. Nice. Here's to keeping it real.
Other items of note tonight:
- Scully is in love with James Loney. Gush, gush gush. I love when he started comparing Loney with the Phillies first baseman - right before Kemp hit his 3 run homer. He may as well have said that Loney is a god.
- Penny gets better with age. He was on fire tonight.
- Jeff Kent's still got it.
- The new hitting coach found it.
- Pierre and Betemit are still looking for it.
