Interesting quote by Ethier after today's game.

It's a big stew here and we're trying to get the best recipe we can," Ethier said. "Hopefully, I stay a piece of it and make this the best-tasting stew we can get."
Ethier has been doing very well lately, hopefully he keeps it up. I would love to keep all the gold kids.
I think we all need to take a step back and acknowledge that Ethier has returned to form and has been tearing it up ever since Mueller replaced Murray as the hitting coach.
Oh, and that Juan Pierre is NASTY.
FBJ is da man.

Didn't they announce Mueller's permanent status a couple weeks ago?
EDIT: Yes. They Did.
So we're looking for bullpen help. Is Gagne worth trading for?
29 1/3 innings pitched. 1.23 ERA. 14-1 in save opportunities. His fastball is no longer what it once was (hitting 93 regularly instead of 98), but his changeup is still wicked as hell and he's developed the curve even further.
Could be a good pickup for the right price. Return of the prodigal son kinda thing. He's got a no-trade clause, with the Dodgers as an exception. Still, the BoSox, Cubs, Cards, Angels, Brewers, D-Backs, Tigers, Mets, and Yankees are scouting the bejeezus out of him, according to some sources.
Wonder where he'll end up?
Honestly, I wouldn't mind at all to have Gagne back. Between him, Broxton, and Saito, and the rest of our bullpen we would be back to a 6 inning ball game, every game. I'm over the fact that he left just like I'm over the fact that Beimel cut his hand in a bar during the playoffs. If the price is right, bring him back.
