well that was all she wrote for this season, I'm so glad Hockey is here

I did come across this quote by kent
"You could use all the fingers on your hand and point them all around," Jeff Kent said. "There were curious things that happened. There were perplexing things that happened. There were unfortunate things that happened. There were things that don’t happen. You can't put your finger on it, but you can put your finger to it."

According to Kent, one of the problems was the amount of young players on the team.

"Especially when you have a lot of them, it's hard to influence a group of them. I don't know why they don’t get it – professionalism, how to manufacture runs, how to keep your emotions in it."

"I'm angry and disappointed and perplexed and bitter."
    Diamond Leung

WTF? does that mean he blames the kids for this season or am I reading this wrong?

too bad his option kicked in, if he feels this way I don't want him on the team next year.

and the last one out of this thread turn off the lights.

That article about Kent angers me, but not as much as this one:

    Anaheim,CA

Angels to have Parade down Olvera St if crowned Champions!

Today the owner of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Arturo (Arte) Moreno indicated to the media his intention to have the Angels celebrate in both LA and Anaheim. Arte says “It will be the biggest celebration in the History of Los Angeles!”
If the Angels Manage to win the World Series they will have 2 consecutive parades. The first parade will begin in Disneyland and end in Anaheim Stadium as it was in 2002. The second parade will begin in Olvers St near Philpes Sandwich shop and extend to Staples center in downtown. Mayor Villaraigosa welcomed the idea by saying “We would love to accommodate the Angels in such a tremendous event for the community. I mean let’s be frank, the Dodgers won’t be celebrating anytime soon so this is good”

The LA city council has to approve the dual celebration however it is being said that Farmer John is willing to be a sponsor and will offer Free Dodger Dogs to all fans. As you know the LA City council supported the Anaheim lawsuit against the name change however, this marketing move is seeing as a moneymaker for the city. Arte Moreno also said that he would give away brand new Angel hats to all Dodger fans who turn in their Dodger hats...

You do realize that "article" is obviously fake based on how bad the quality of English is (among other obvious factors), right?

The only reason we hired this dumbass was because we had 2 weeks till spring training to hire a manager.

Problem is Grady kept playing the washed up vets + Pierre (who can't be washed up because he was never good) when they were being badly outplayed by the young guys. I wouldn't be upset if either or both were given the boot. Sadly I'm sure both will be back in 08 with more shenanigans.

Wow, I picked a good week to be in the city and out of the loop. Every time I checked the scores it was all bad news, I thought maybe gremlins had hacked my phone. But no.

Let's see here, the Jets are 0-2. On the bright side, I think Isiah Thomas takes the witness stand again today.

I still don't understand why we didn't just sign Lofton to another one year deal instead of Pierre for FIVE.

The fact that Lofton is putting up way better numbers than Pierre just adds insult to injury.
