How many uniforms do the D'Backs have?
Dodgers season is officially...

I agree, it's a good point. Now the entire team has melted down, but that was the tipping point. I don't know what Little was supposed to do, the 8th inning was Broxton's role all year. You can't panic and rearrange everything after a couple losses, the guys have to go in and do the job that is theirs to do. Broxton is a young guy, hopefully this whole thing makes him better and mentally tougher in the long run.
Automatic loss? No. Frequent loss? Sure. But the anemic offense did their part in those games as well, and our bullpen was great which helped us to steal some of those games late.Originally Posted by DanteHicks
How are the overall pitching stats skewed? That doesn't make any sense. It's the small sample stats that are skewed. Our pitching was 2nd (when I posted originally, now we're 4th barely--still by and large the strength of this team) in the NL overall. That tells me a lot more than gut feeling.
Nomar being broken isn't really news though. And about Furcal playing hurt: yeah, but he was good enough to be in the lineup for (soon to be) 140 games this year--everyone in the majors to some extent plays through pain. Besides, the Furcal that showed up in '06 (well above his career average) is nowhere near the Furcal that showed up in '07 (well below his career average)... career-wise expectations would put him somewhere in the middle of those extremes. Our offense is bad enough when those guys are healthy let alone being hurt.Originally Posted by DanteHicks
(And re: the Broxton whining... things must really be going bad when we're blaming one of the best relief pitchers on this team. He's nowhere close in the blame game with why this team isn't playoff-bound.)

A possible preview of the 2008 Dodger line up.
Pierre, cf
Abreu, 2b
Kemp, rf
Loney, 1b
Martin, c
Ethier, lf
LaRoche, 3b
Hu, ss
Billingsley, p
I will probably watch this game just to see how they perform.
Outside of Pierre, a homegrown lineup.
