So what's everyone's take on the Kent/Loney squabble?
I fully believe it's exactly the type of situation that only flares up when a team that's projected to win the West ends up finishing nearly 10 games out. Kent has a point about the younger plays making some dumb mistakes(see: Matt Kemp's base running) but to come out and knock someone like Loney who has been the team's best hitter in September is off base.
This sentiment that the young kids don't have any respect for the old guard has been around forever. It's nothing new and I'm sure that when Jeff Kent came up with the Blue Jays he wasn't playing like a 20 year vet right off the bat.
If this team is going to do anything next year they need Jeff Kent's bat and they need James Loney and Matt Kemp learning how to be professionals.
I will say this comment from James Loney says a hell of a lot about Grady Little the so called "player's coach"...
Asked if Little had adequately managed the personalities on the team, Loney replied, "I don't really have anything to say on that."
CLH and Abreu turning double plays is fun to watch.
Abreu FTW...**** Kent
LMFAO. Bradley hurt himself while arguing with the ump.
We've had some big wins this year when we were still contenders, but this is the most enjoyable game I've watched this season.
