First off, no one has said anything about steroids. We don't even know what it was he took. Before we jump to conclusions, maybe we need to sit on our hands for a moment, and see what it was he really took (yeah, I'm thinking CA medical MJ)

It's starting to sound more and more like that, actually, though it may be wishful thinking on my part. The headlines have started to read "Manny suspended for violating MLB Drug Policy" as opposed to the PED stuff they read earlier... And in his statement he specifically said it wasn't a steroid (though don't they all say that?)

I hope we find out... My view of Manny will be drastically different if it's pot as opposed to steroids/hgh.

I was listening to Rome on the way to work, and apparently it's not a steroid, but it is a performance-enhancing substance that's clearly banned. Manny's spin will be that he didn't know what he was taking a banned substance, and was taking it for some legitimate therapeutic use (but without obtaining a Therapeutic Use Exemption).

I was in a suite earlier this year against the Rockies when Manny hit his first 2. Good times!! (Which won't be repeated for a couple months.)

The stigma is already there. Just as it will be when guys like Albert Pujols and Vladimir Guerrero are going to be nailed for their likely infractions.
