...which is why he isn't appealing. Doctor said it was fine to take, but ultimately it's Manny's responsibility to be sure. JC Romero got a suspension, and he is suing the company that provided over the shelf stuff because it didn't have the banned substance on the label.

Apparently, he didn't test positive for it but they found that his testosterone level was elevated. When they started to look into why that was the case, they saw documents saying that he had taken it in the past and because of that, MLB suspended him.

Manny was going to appeal but at the last minute, he was gonna suspend his appeal and accept his punishment.
This is driving me nuts...are they suspending him for the substance in the boner meds or because his testosterone level was high? Speculation re: a drug that documents said he took in the past? There's gotta be some clarification on all this at some point.

Wait, so why even mention HCG then? There are hundreds of reasons his testosterone could have been elevated... And based on this same logic, why wasn't A-Rod suspended?

At this point it doesn't matter how or why, but that he is. I am glad that we have other hitters in Ethier, Kemp, Hudson, Furcal, etc. Does it suck... yeah, But we are still a well rounded team even without Manny for the next 50 games. If I was was one of the other Dodgers I would prove that we could still win even without Manny, considering 1 man does not make a team.

Dodgers will still win the NL West by 20 games whether ManRam is playing or not.

Looking at the Dbacks batting so far this season, at least I can say with certainty that no one in our lineup juicing.

I wish someone would start though.

Scioscia is overrated. I'd rather not see my team play small ball 162 games a year.

Completely agreed. Also, the biggest Dodger mistake over that timeframe was Pedro for Delino.
