So does Jones get DFA'd now?

Don't get me wrong, Bay is a solid player. But in no way is he Manny. Manny gets on base more. Has better plate discipline and can swing at anything.
I also think Manny's numbers will decline in Dodger Stadium, but he is a solid addition nonetheless.
Stop making me defend him!!! LOL.
The bottom line is this move (regardless of clubhouse antics) gives the Dodgers a possible boost of improvement in run support, which we all know is needed. It gives them a better chance, and that's all that matters. They're paying nothing for the guy whose slugging percentage is awesome. Sure, one man can't be the offense, but he sure as hell can revive one that is toiling in the depths of doom.
Let's just hope (and pray) Manny adjusts to NL pitching well.
Go Blue!
Im no baseball expert...does someone want to post the new improved starting lineup?
Pierre looks more like a SS.
I hope this is the case.
For reference, Bay's SLG is .519, Manny's is .529. I don't know the park factors off the top of my head. Manny's home/away splits are a little better though.
One thing in Bay's defense, he's a bit younger. I'm hoping that Bay will hold up a little better going into August and September.
