MLB announces Manny Ramirez is retiring after drug issue - ESPN

Looks like Mannywood is permanently closed. A 2nd positive test would have been 100 games and a serious blow to what's left of his rep. Smart move retiring and hoping the story goes away much quicker.

What makes me sad, as a Dodgers fan, is that the two most exciting players of the recent past are both heavily sullied by steroids. Both Gagne and Manny were incredible to watch for however brief their runs of dominance where as Dodgers, but feel so empty now.
