    Assuming Holliday continues to light things up the way he's been the past few weeks, this is a great short-term trade for the Cards. Makes their lineup a lot more potent with Holliday protecting Pujols.

    If the Cards don't re-sign Holliday, this could be a pretty bad move for them long-term because they're going to need to ante up to keep Pujols happy next year.

    They already got fleeced by Beane for Mulder...
