Probably but the MLB rules are pretty damn strict. No matter what a player's motives are if you take something that is on that banned list even if its for the flu or something you get suspended.

Well, marijuana is on the list...

But really. 50 games for ? As ridiculous as the witch-hunt that is the MLB steroid scandal is, I can't imagine they'd levy such a suspension for something so stupid.

I think its an automatic thing. I can certainly imagine it. A 50 game suspension is a pretty good deterrent.
