It would've been interesting to have an all-Weavers match-up on Friday.

I love this team. Three ****ty games and we still sweep those Mutts.

That was money by Leach last, nice to see him get his first win. Weaver was solid for a last minute start, and O-Dog is an animal.

16 games over .500 and an 8 game lead over the Gnats. Pure awesome.

I know I'm a little late mentioning it - but was at the game Monday night when the dude missed 3rd base. The place was going crazy and the score changed back from 3 to 2 for the Mets, but we didn't know what happened (we were in left field - the former "Mannywood" sections) - a friend texted us what was going on before they announced it... Exciting to be there for it, even if it did take us a while to know what the heck was going on - ha.

    .
Very impressive outing by Leach. Hasn't taken long for Torre to start trusting him in big spots.

I'm all for easing guys in to a point, but if you can't trust him in big spots, he shouldn't be with the big club. (Guillermo Mota comments are not necessary.)

    The next Tom Glavine?

Jamie Hoffmann, 24, signed with the Dodgers as an undrafted free agent out of high school nearly six years ago. He was, however, an eighth-round NHL pick by the Carolina Hurricanes.
