McCourt's next bright idea to save $
Just so everyone knows, McCourt has told Ned he wants Torre out next year in order to save some money. He is going to reduce some coaches salary and only hire Mattingly if he takes a pay cut from what he is making. THIS TRUE! Some national sportswriters have written this but the LA guys have not put it out there yet, even though they know this to be fact!

* As we heard earlier in the week from SI.com's Jon Heyman, Joe Torre appears unlikely to manage the Dodgers next season. "There are a couple of folks in power who are ready to turn the managerial page," according to Olney.

not only is torre out, but the rest of the coaching staff as well. mccourt has decided the dodgers don't need coaches but an army of swammies to channel their aura for a title.

Could it be because Torre is just not worth the money? If this gives them some pocket change to pick up a MLB-average starter, it will win them more games than Torre ever did with his managerial wizardry.
