Only the freakin' Dodgers can have so many on 'roids and yet still miss the playoffs.

Has anyone else heard the nasty rumor that the list was originally a lot longer but it was cut down so as to spare baseball from a full meltdown?

Most of the big names on the list are either already out of baseball or are in the twilight of their career.

A rumor that has been mentioned on different talk radio shows, going around the net and has been mentioned by a couple of guys I know, who happen to know more than your average bear about baseball, is that quite a few big names that are stars now were on the list (think some of the fans fav in places like Boston, N.Y., and St. Louis to start) . But they were not mentioned now because it is felt it would damage baseball more than it has already been.

It is just a rumor, so take it for what it is worth, but sadly it makes sense.

As a Dodger honk I am both pissed and sick that the organization was so deeply involved. But I have feeling many more clubs were in just as deep. If you will note that most of the crap that went down happened when Fox owned the team and McCourt bought the team at the advent of testing. It has been said that McCourt takes the "This did not happen on my watch!" attitude and therefore has been very forthcoming in cooperating with any investigations, turning over everything that might be of interest. I have a feeling that a lot of other organizations were not as open or helpful in the investigations, so we may never know just how bad this was.
