Fantastic performance by Halladay, that was a treat to watch. We won't see a performance like that again for quite a while. I just thank God it was not against the Dodgers. Again. (dang Don Larsen, anyway...)

    Question about the final out:

The batter tapped a nubber in front of the plate that Ruiz (Philly catcher) jumped on and made the throw to first for the final out, and he made it look like a can-of-corn play. Ok, cool... the No-No is intact, but...

The hitter dropped his bat in fair territory where it - maybe/might have/I'm not sure - contacted the batted ball again. Wouldn't that have made the batter out automatically?? Batter interference of some sort??

School me on the rule, if there is one...

So the Rays piss and moan that their bandwagon fans don't show up to support them during the final weeks of the regular season... then the playoffs start and they go down 2-0 at home. Way to go.
