Carlos Silva goes for 48 million over 4 years.
Even though Kuroda is an unknown I'd rather gamble on him than give Silva 48 million.
Prior to the Padres.
let's see how long Prior stays healthy
I was just reading http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/column...=ESPNHeadlines and found this amazing.
"Small Ball Dept.: Are home runs overrated? The Angels went three full weeks without a home run, from July 1-22. And in the middle of that, guess who won the Home Run Derby at the All Star Game? An Angel, of course (Vladimir Guerrero)."
That is boggling my mind.
And good riddance to Prior. Only does a pitcher for the Cubs that has that nasty of stuff and supposed perfect mechanics misses so many games. Damn roids.
My bet is that even with Prior possibly having a good year, the odds on Young and Peavy matching their dominance last season isn't as good......right? (add a spoonful of hope).
A bigger concern is a mediocre offense getting worse... or at the least staying the same. And this is coming from a Padres fan.
