Anybody else confused with David Wright as the G.G. winner for Third Base?

Probably just another case of the award being skewed towards the offensive producers. See: Jeter, Derek.

From Baseball Prospectus:
Fielding Runs Above Replacement. The difference between an average player and a replacement player is determined by the number of plays that position is called on to make. That makes the value at each position variable over time. In the all-time adjustments, an average catcher is set to 39 runs above replacement per 162 games, first base to 10, second to 29, third to 22, short to 33, center field to 24, left and right to 14.
BP is notoriously tight-lipped about their stuff though, so here's one that's a bit more accessible.

GQIQJoe (where has that guy been?) is way better at this stuff than I am.
Barry Bonds indicted on perjury, obstruction charges
SAN FRANCISCO -- Barry Bonds was indicted Thursday for perjury and obstruction of justice, charged with lying when he told a federal grand jury that he did not knowingly use performance-enhancing drugs.
The indictment, unsealed Thursday by federal prosecutors in San Francisco, is the culmination of a four-year federal probe into whether he lied under oath to a grand jury investigating steroid use by elite athletes.
Well I didn't see many of the Mets games this year so take my imput for what it's worth but the thing I've noticed about David Wright the past couple years is that he makes the tough plays look easy. Whether it balls hit to his right/left or charging balls in toward the plate. He makes it look easy. And his quickness at getting to balls hit down the 3rd base line is incredible. All that and he makes the routine plays.
And BleedingPurple, according the stats you showed, Wright played started in 159 games. Thats crazy.
As far as the amount of errors he made, I don't know, can't explain it.
Yep. Wright led the NL in OOZ (out of zone) plays by 3B.Quote:

Zimmerman played in 161 and by most statistical accounts is a marginally better fielder. (Should we re-assess the MVP vote now? :))Quote:

I saw that Zimmerman had played in 161 games. I know that he had wrist surgery recently. Any word if he played any part of the season hurt? Because if he did, that's impressive.
Tulowitzki is a stud at short. I still think he should have won ROY.
