Yes, I need positive thoughts after tonight's debacle....Nice to see Trumbo start driving the ball, Kendry who???

Once Morales and the injured SP's get back...how bout a blockbuster trade to really give the Angels offense some bite

    Trumbo, Trout and Chatwood for......Longoria!

Trout could be better than Longoria. Maybe not as much power. Then again he has decent power now and he might grow into his power. He's only 19.

He's tearing it up in AA. 1.027 OPS, 4 hr in 46 ABs. I think the Angels view him as untouchable, particularly because he will be cheap for several years. He's the heir apparent when Hunter leaves after 2012. He'll probably be up next season and might push Wells to DH or Bourjos to a utility role/trade bait.

I'm surprised no one posted about how the Angels WTF owned the Rangers last night 15-4 lol. Did not matter for long because Weaver and the Halos went for the kill today! Weaver is now 5-0 the first pitcher to reach it in MLB, and Anaheim is back in first place too.

12-6 for the start of the season...not bad not bad at all! Also, it took Weaver until June 4th to have his first 5 wins of the season. MAJOR difference this year, no?!?

"The power of Howard Kendrick and Vernon Wells and the electrifying speed of Peter Bourjos were primary weapons in support of Weaver, who became the Majors' first five-game winner with eight strikeouts while going the distance. Not since Oakland's Dave Stewart in 1990 has a pitcher gone 5-0 in a team's first 18 games."

Weaver 5-0 as Halos take series in Texas

Even though it's way early in the season, it's good to see this team playing so well.

As much as our "untouchable" players have not seemed to work out in this organization (see: McPherson, Wood, Aybar, etc), I don't think I want to see Trout even being mentioned in a trade negotiation. This kid sounds like the real deal.

But I do have the same question as you, what will they do when Kendrys comes back? Trumbo is playing far too well to be bumped from the lineup. Then again, depth is never a bad thing, and there will be plenty of opportunities for rest for all of the starters.

Wood is gone, and I hope he does well on his new team.

As long as he gets to play full time, he'll be fine. Unfortunately, it just wasn't going to work out for him here. He gets a hit or two, Scioscia sits him the game after. Best of luck to Wood.

Haha well the Angels were in first place in the divsion, but then the Red Sox come into town. You all know what that means...they will sweep the Halos. And, we have to deal with Boston AGAIN next week too :(

Why of why can't the Angels beat this damn team

Well the sweep should happen unless the Angels have a big comeback today. At least the Halos will have the A's to beat up after Boston leave towns today lol ouch

Halos love to pull down their pants and bend over every time the Red Sux come to town. Hate that sooooo much. I feel bad for the Angels fans at the Big A who have to put up with this crap year after year.
