awesome win by the Halos, Abreu was on fire and what a great way for Walden to end the game by picking off Granderson, love when the Angels beat the Yanks

Great win by the Angels to beat the Yankees. Its too bad that the Mariners couldn't hold on to beat the Rangers to get us closer to first.
They will just have to sweep Texas next week to get it done.
Angels back on track, solid pitching performance by Santana
Angels need to NEVER use Rodney again for the rest of the season. How many more times do we need to see this clown blow games?!?! Yesterday was ugly

I liked the ovation the Blue Jays fans gave Vernon. I liked it even more when Vernon hit a HR on the 1st pitch.![]()

Two loses (counting this series only) because Mike S cont to use that ******* pos Rodney!!!! I really hope Mike is in the hot seat if the Angels don't make the playoffs this year. And the GM needs to hit the road like yesterday already

Angels *really* need to sweep Texas. 3 out of 4 will be nice, but I have a bad feeling we're going to get swept instead.

Wow the Angels cont to lose ground in the division. Not looking good at all. We only have three good starters atm, and the rookie just got hurt tonight too. It's not looking good for Anaheim's playoffs chances this year :(

It appears that RHP Jerome Williams, a 29-year-old journeyman who has played with Giants, Cubs and Nats, will join the #Angels tonight.

Jerome Williams was 7-2 with a 3.91 ERA in 11 games, 10 starts, for triple-A Salt Lake. He will give #Angels much-needed length in bullpen.
Stating the obvious here but, the Angels must win these next two games against the Rangers to even hope to have a shot at the AL West. Furthermore, they're basically going to have to sweep the Orioles the following series and then at least win the series after that against the ChiSox. After that, guess who they run into again...
They have dug themselves a whole in the past half-dozen games but luckily for them, if they decide to start hitting and someone besides Weaver, Haren, and Santana actually has a decent game on the mound, they can still pull it off. The one thing positive they have going for them is, the Rangers schedule is more difficult and on the road a lot more than the Angels remaining schedule. It is right in front of them to take advantage of, just like this series, but they have done the exact opposite of taking advantage so far.
A couple other things... how is Mathis still in the line-up, better yet, how is he still in the MLB? And give Abreu a "rest" and let Branyan DH until further notice.
